Nature Club Events

Nature programs are sponsored by the Macias Wildlife Society, and presented January-April, on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, 7:30 PM at Bonita Bay’s Estero Bay Park.

January 14, 2025, 7:30 pm, “Cane Toads of SWFL”, presented by, Melinda Schuman, Conservancy of SWFL.

February 11, 2025, 7:30 pm, “Life is short, but Snakes are long”, The relationship between birds and reptiles. Presented by, Andrew Durso, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU), Department of Biological Sciences.

March 11, 2025, 7:30 pm, “Roseate Spoonbills in Florida, Past & Present”, presented by, Jerry Lorenz, Ph.D. (ret.) State Director of Research, Everglades Science Center, Audubon Florida.

April 8, 2025, 7:30 pm, “The Shy Wolf Sanctuary, rescuing captive-bred exotic and un-releasable wild animals”, presented by Debbie LoVerde, Community Education Coordinator. Shy Wolf Sanctuary.
